Daniel Cameron Scott has a history of violating the Employment Standards Act. In his previous companies (which all seem to have been dissolved for non-compliance) he failed to pay workers. I’ve heard from his recent employees that he’s still in the habit of paying his employees late and as of today, he still owes some of them money.
The following online review indicates money problems within the company. It’s allegedly from a former manager employed by the company and is consistent with the problems he’s now having paying the rent for Wicked Garage (Classic Automobile Restoration). He seems to have a track record of failed companies.
CTV News also covered the story. A few details conflict with the previous one. Namely, CTV says Daniel Scott did not plead guilty but was convicted. The previous article says he did plead guilty. I don’t know which is true, but I would not be surprised if he didn’t plead guilty. From what I can tell he seems to be the type of person who never admits fault or takes responsibility or accepts blame for anything. That’s just my opinion but there is some evidence of that behavior here.
